To check a disk, simply insert it into the Macintosh (if it is a floppy disk), and select the appropriate name under the Check menu. When Scan begins checking a disk, a dialog box will appear on the screen, showing the current volume and file which is being checked. If bad files are found, this dialog box will also keep track of how many files and bad sectors were discovered. To stop Scan while it is checking a disk, simply hold down the Command key and type a period. When the check of a disk has completed, it may be ejected by selecting the appropriate name under the Eject menu.
